My name is soon-to-be Dr. Shea and I have a B.S. in Biology from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans. I am scheduled to graduate RUSVM in 2020. I have been in the veterinary field for 3 short years, but these last 3 years have the most amazing and educational ones of my life. I’ve always had an intense work ethic, but I now know I was born to be in the field of medicine.

I started veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis in September 2016. I moved down with my husband and our two babies: Molly Mae and Brindley Reese. More specifically, James and I got married on August 20th, 2016 and we moved to St. Kitts and Nevis on August 26th, 2016. I have had to overcome many things, including island time, failures, stress, and a car burglary which I hope will help others who will come after me.

Living in Saint Kitts has certainly proved itself frustrating at many times, but the beauty that it offers you is unbeatable. Saint Kitts is now my home! Although I call it home, it is still a dangerous place to live, crime rates are high, and every now and then you see a militarian on the side of the road with a loaded rifle, but if you are careful, it can be the best experience of your life. This life isn’t easy by any means, but it sure is rewarding.
